Our Company
History
Zenith Print & Packaging was established in 1979 and over the years has built up a worldwide reputation as specialists in coin and luxury packaging. Since 2007 the company has acquired several businesses to expand its operations into the commercial, digital and large format print sectors and is now able to service its customers no matter what their requirements.
In order to fuel and support our growth the company has consistently invested in new technology and developed the skills of our workforce to adapt to newer more efficient machinery and working practices.
Who We Are
We employ 185 people across our two sites in South Wales. Pontypool is home to our digital and commercial print operations whereas Pontypridd is home to our packaging and fulfilment divisions.
Our projects can include anything from a handful of business cards to brochures, catalogues, large external signage and a plethora of different carton styles to package your products. When required we take a consultative approach to help guide our customers through the myriad of options available.
We are proud to offer innovative, creative and sustainable solutions to help your brand stand out whilst maintaining colour across the different print processes.

Our Process
Sales and Order Management
Your journey starts with a sales representative. With an abundance of knowledge on the print process they can offer advice on the right solution for you. Whether it’s digital, commercial or packaging, we can deliver whatever your requirement.
From here we can then ask your account manager/estimator to calculate a cost, based on a specification that fits your budget. As a company that has FSC® certification we can offer a range of environmentally friendly papers that suit your brand. If you’re looking for something different, then we have that covered too. For a selection of samples please ask your account manager or sales representative who will provide you with the latest trends and stocks that are being printed through our state-of-the-art printing unit.
Pre-Production
Once you’ve received your estimate and are happy to proceed, we have an experienced prepress team who can advise you on supplying artwork files. They will preflight the artwork and communicate back if any issues are identified and require correcting before we generate a proof.
We can provide high resolution inkjet proofs in various forms: a digitally printed proof, a PDF file or a machine proof. The machine proof is essentially a trial run on the printing press so the customer can see exactly how the job will look when printed.
In addition to our prepress team, who handle the reprographics element for digital and commercial print jobs, we also have a CAD department.
The CAD department will assist sales and the customer in producing samples for future projects as well as preparing impositions for prepress to overlay the customers artwork onto. They are mainly involved in packaging and point of sale items.
Production
Our main production sites in South Wales cover 100,000 square feet.
With state-of-the-art printing presses at our Pontypool site, we have the equipment and space to allocate your printed product seamlessly. With push to stop technology we can eliminate large amounts of paper waste, increasing our output which in turn helps us meet your deadline.
Following on from the print department we have a large finishing area with a plethora of equipment including, Guillotines, Folders, Stitchers, Binders, Die Cutters and Gluers.
If your magazine, brochure or carton requires enhancement then we can apply several different finishes including lamination, foiling, embossing, spot UV and a wide range of coatings.
Delivery
Your print has now been boxed or palletised and is now ready for delivery. With a fleet of vehicles at our disposal we can deliver your goods anywhere around the UK.
As part of our drive to reduce carbon emissions we’ve recently invested in a Mercedes Lorry to enable single deliveries of larger volumes negating the need for several deliveries in smaller vehicles. It also provides greater control and flexibility than we have when using overnight delivery services.
